If you listened to Today on Radio 4 on Friday 12th you will have heard about the Marmot review of health inequalities. Well, our very own Esther (of Strong Language Ltd) has been hard at work editing a key piece of work that contributed to it: Sustainable development: The key to tackling health inequalities…
Containing some shocking statistics, the sheer weight of the Sustainable Development Commission’s report highlights the compelling academic evidence that environmental factors make a big difference to the quality and the length of our lives. And that by improving the physical infrastructure and green spaces in the poorest neighbourhoods, everyone benefits.
Esther’s only disappointment is the title - until the eleventh hour it was called ‘Twin Peaks’ (Geddit? It’s an uphill struggle but with twice the benefits, peak flow as a measure of lung health…no? Oh well)
