Thanks to everyone who managed to join our zoom call on Wednesday the 18th of November. It was so lovely to see some of you again after such a long hiatus. This month, we had a good olè chin wag over Sarah Hill’s Women in Black and Henry James’ Turn of the Screw; two very similarly structured ghost stories written about 85 years apart.

Our next title is The Marlow Papers by Ros Barber.
The mysterious life of Elizabethan playwright Christopher Marlowe is examined in this unusual novel. Written entirely in blank verse, as if by Marlowe himself, The Marlowe Papers centers on what might have happened if the author of Tamburlaine and Doctor Faustus had not been murdered in a tavern brawl in 1593.

If you would like to join us (on Zoom) for more light-hearted literary laughs, please email Lucy at lucy@forwardspace.co.uk. Our next catch up is on Wednesday the 16th of December at 7:30 pm.
